CorPath Robotic Angioplasty Transmitted Live at SOLACI

On July 24th, Dr. Giora Weisz performed a percutaneous coronary intervention using the CorPath Vascular Robotic System in New York and transmitted video of the case live at the Latin American Society of Interventional Cardiology (SOLACI) conference in Sao Paulo, Brazil. During the case, Dr. Weisz used the system's measurement function to select the 26mm length stent, as well as 1mm incremental movement function to place the stent, thus avoiding the unnecessary use of a second stent. The case, which was viewed by the 3000 attendees representing 38 countries, was a demonstration of some of the most innovative technology available in the modern cath lab.
This international demonstration is just the next step in the growth of the company which relocated to a larger facility in Waltham, MA earlier in 2013. Since the commercial launch of CorPath at TCT 2012 the company has expanded dramatically, and the system has been used extensively at installations across the United States.

Corindus Gathers Feedback from CorPath User Physicians
On August 3rd, Corindus held its first Medical Advisory Board since the commercial launch of CorPath in 2012. Throughout the full day event, the physicians, who came from across the country, shared their experiences with the system and discussed their vision for how the technology can evolve over time.
Attendees were given a "sneak peek" of the next generation product and then the whole group gave feedback on the clinical trends that they are seeing and where they see CorPath's abilities expanding to help beyond PCI procedures in the future.
We, at Corindus, are committed to developing products that enhance the capabilities of our physician users and improve patient outcomes. Meetings such as the one held ensure that we are meeting the needs of our customers both now and into the future.
